New Jersey Energy Week 2025
8 - 10 December 2025 @ NJIT
New Jersey is at a pivotal moment in its energy transition, striving to modernize its power infrastructure while meeting the ambitious goals set forth in the Energy Master Plan (EMP). New Jersey Energy Week 2025, hosted at NJIT, will serve as a premier platform to bring together key stakeholders, including electric utilities, regulatory agencies, policymakers, industry leaders, and academia, to address the evolving challenges in energy transmission, offshore wind integration, and workforce development.
This two-part event series includes:
- December 8-9, 2025 – Wind Institute Technical Bootcamp @ NJIT: A two-day intensive training program designed for students and professionals interested in the offshore wind industry. The bootcamp will cover key topics such as wind farm development, transmission integration, grid stability, and workforce training, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the offshore wind sector.
- December 10, 2025 – New Jersey Future Energy Transmission Conference: A high-level industry-driven conference that convenes New Jersey’s electric utilities (PSEG, JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric, Orange & Rockland), regulatory bodies (PJM, NJBPU), government agencies (NJEDA), and academic institutions (NJIT, Rowan, Drexel). The conference will focus on grid modernization, energy storage, AI-driven transmission technologies, and regulatory challenges shaping the future of energy transmission in the state. A poster session will showcase cutting-edge student research, with selected papers eligible for IEEE Xplore publication.
By combining technical training, research dissemination, and industry networking, New Jersey Energy Week 2025 will reinforce New Jersey’s leadership in power systems research, education, and workforce training, while fostering essential partnerships to drive innovation and investment in the state's energy future.
